These are the kinds of questions that will be addressed at the Living Well with Epilepsy program sponsored by the Epilepsy Foundation of Hawaii and brought to us by Sutter Health.

When:  November 9, 2013 - 8:30 am to 1:30 pm

 

Where:  The Queens’ Conference Center at The Queen’s Medical Center

 

What:  This is a free conference for people with epilepsy and anyone who wants to know more about epilepsy.  It will address a number of frequent questions such as :

 

What is epilepsy?

How is epilepsy diagnosed?

What kinds of medicines are available?

Are generics OK for me to take?

Is surgery an option for treatment?

What are the consequences of epilepsy?

Cost:  Free

Food:  We will offer a continental breakfast during registration and a box lunch and get together at the end of the program. 

Parking:  The Queen's Conference Center can offer a LIMITED number of $5.00 parking validations to people parking at the Queen's Medical Center.  The first 25 participants will be offered a $5.00 parking validation.  This will have to be offered on a first come first served the morning of the conference.  Other parking areas nearby include nearby street parking, the Blaisdell Center and municipal lots near Chinatown.
